This prestigious award is reserved for the top attorneys and judges in the United States. The current list includes former FBI Director James Comey, all nine sitting United States Supreme Court Justices, and Eric Holder, the Attorney General of the United States from 2009 to 2015.

Over the course of his career, Blewett has represented hundreds of injured clients against insurance companies, railroads, and governmental entities. Through his efforts, Blewett has obtained some of the largest verdicts and settlements in Montana state history for his clients. He also provided funding for the creation of a consumer law program at the University of Montana Law School, which is one of the only programs of its kind in the United States. After donating $10 million to his alma mater, the University of Montana Law School has been renamed the Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of Montana.
